Got a few recommendations for you all, this time in the town of Holmfirth. I had some family visiting down for a wedding so was a nice trip out to spend time with them and also gave me a chance to give a few places I’ve been dying to go a try. It's always funny seeing businesses in real life. With me doing a lot of research through Instagram and online it feels strange seeing them as I walk by.
Thanks to everyone who dropped their favourite places to go to on Instagram!
Lou & Joes Burger Company

This was our stop off for some lunch and damn was a good choice! I always know I’ve picked a good place when I look at the menu and struggle with what to go for. But after much deliberation I finally decided on the following:
🐓 Mother Clukka - Buttermilk Fried Chicken thigh, house Slaw, American cheese, honey & ginger buffalo sauce, dill pickles, salad
🍗 Chicken poppers - crispy pulled chicken bites, seasoned with smoked salt
🍟 Lou & Joe's Fries - Skin on fries, American cheese, house ketchup, pickles, l&j's burger sauce, mustard, chives, bacon crumb
I’m in a bit of a chicken burger phase currently, no idea why.
Anyway, if you’ve read a few of my previous posts you know what a sucker I am for good interiors, ample spacing and loadsssss of natural light. It just makes the images that much better and that much easier.
BLOC

Come on it’s me, could not exactly have a coffee trip during the day, and that’s why I headed over to BLOC. Slightly annoyed there were no sweet bakes to go along with my beautiful cortado but hey ho, just have to do another trip. I don’t know what it is about cortado's but they’re just so refreshing, I genuinely think they’re my favourite coffee drink to get. Sorry flat whites but you may have just been dethroned.
Lick Dairy-Free Ice Cream
IG: @lickdairyfreeicecream
The final stop of the day, I had my eye on Lick for agessss and we timed it amazingly with a warm and sunny day at the end of September. Amazing how things work out in the end. I went for a double scoop cone with cookies & cream and caramel swirl. I think that’s a top tier ice cream choice if I do say so myself. If you do go make sure you get that classic ice cream hand shot against the grass wall and neon sign for Instagram. It’s basic but has to be done.
I also hand a wander past:
- Harvey’s bar & kitchen
- The Hideout
- Holme Coffee House
- Bear Coffee Roasters
There are soooo many other businesses I’ve been recommended so I’m pretty sure they’ll be a part 2 of this blog post. Scroll to the bottom for the additional images because they're so many.
Hope everyone’s having a good week! I’ve got so many things coming up which I can’t wait to share with you all! Make sure you’re subscribed to the blog and follow me on Instagram (@cmcg.creative)
Thanks
Cam
