Took a trip over to Berlin Spring of 2017, a place that was on the top of my travel list and somewhere I really wanted to explore and visit. It’s such a unique place with so many cool spots to explore, I’d definitely recommend a trip over. So here’s my little city guide.
Things to do:
Berlin is filled with history and some really cool looking buildings, honestly a photographers dream. My favourite place was the Jewish Museum, it was so interesting wandering around and the architecture of this place is just stunning. Got so many nice pictures and one of the highlights from the trip.
If you’re wanting the cool cityscape views I got you need to do two things. First location you need to head to Panoramapunkt Potsdamer Platz and take the lift up. The second location is not for the faint hearted or people scared of heights (have to admit it was petrifying). There’s a city hot air balloon which you can go up in, three you get the best views of the city and the highest point. It’s tethered to the ground so you won’t drift away.
Few other recommendations for you:
Holocaust Memorial
Brandenburg Gate
CO Berlin Gallery
Potsdamer Platz (City view)
Olympic Stadium (for the football fans out there, go see Hertha Berlin play)
Berliner Don
Neues Museum
Mauerpark (vintage market)
Reichstag Dome
Coffee:
Didn’t drink massive of coffee on this trip however there is a local roastery called Five Elephants who also have their own cafes which are sick. They have a few locations so for sure go check them out!
Food:
Now. Berlin delivered on the food front.
Starting off with Markthalle Neun which is an indoor street food hall. There was so much choice which I loved and everything looked amazing. Really recommend a visit if you want variety.
Now this next place at the time was the best brunch I had ever had. I recommend Benedict Berlin to everyone who goes because the place was just unbelievable.
And the interiors are stunning as well. And if you know me you know how much I love a good interior.
It has to be done to have a cheeky visit to Burger Meister. Enough said.
Then the final place we went for Brunch was on top of the Reichstag dome, not the best brunch was still very good and I would still recommend it because it’s an amazing view and experience.
