How to Film a POV Video

This one’s been requested a lot on my Instagram so I figured it was about time to explain

how I get the footage (no I don’t hold the camera in my mouth).

This is what you do and need.

1. You need to buy an accessories pack for a go pro (the link is below, it'll cost £30). So the reason for getting this one for myself is I shoot POV with both a go pro and iPhone so I need equipment to switch between the two. So I’ll use the go pro for street/travel POV and then my iPhone for indoor studio shoots.

2. Put on the chest mount and fasten it in place with whatever you’re using, make sure it’s pointing in the right direction and secure. The worst thing is it not being tight enough and slowly starts pointing to the floor.

3. If you’re using an iPhone put it on the wide-angle camera so it captures everything, I just find the other lenses too zoomed in.

4. Film away

There you have it, if you’re just set on using a phone to do this you could just get a phone chest mount and probably spend £15-£20 on them (that’s just a quick amazon search) because the go pro accessory kit might not be worth it.

Hope that answers everyone's questions!

Thanks
